A Legal Requirement for Each Board Member in the State of Idaho

The Idaho School Boards Association invites all board members to participate in our annual Literacy Intervention Training. This training is designed to equip school board members with the necessary skills to effectively contribute to literacy enhancement initiatives in their schools, meeting the rigorous standards set by the Idaho State Department of Education. 

Important Information 
Learning Outcomes
  • The State Department of Education requires Literacy Intervention Training be completed by all school board members, per Idaho Code 33-1809.
  • The training will be live-streamed through Zoom and instructed by Lisa Colón Durham.
  • Increase familiarity with literacy improvement resources.
  • Learn about data available for assessing progress.
  • Explore setting measurable goals for literacy improvement.
