An overview of the knowledge and skills needed to improve literacy.

This one-time training, required during your service as a board member, fulfills the State Department of Education’s literacy training requirement. This webinar equips board members with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively support literacy improvement.

Learning Outcomes
  • The State Department of Education requires Literacy Intervention Training be completed by all school board members, per Idaho Code 33-1809.
  • This training is a recording of the live webinar instructed by Lisa Colón Durham.
  • This recorded training is not eligible for reimbursement.
  • Increase familiarity with literacy improvement resources.
  • Learn about data available for assessing progress.
  • Explore setting measurable goals for literacy improvement.
